The fictional imagination in the picture above is reality already. Quick commerce, everything delivered to where you sit at the tap of a button. Entertainment, social connection, democracy and truth all crunched into and through the warped reality that the digital world offers and forces. AI starting to tell you what to think, what to believe, what to believe.

And this again, true in so many ways everywhere in the world.

This movie really turned out to be portentous. We didn’t heed it enough, of course. We’re not heeding reality itself, anymore. The comfortable realm of the digital alternative we’re getting better and better at creating, personalizing, boxing ourselves inside is enough.
